Story behind the painting:
Lake Forest was inspired by a photo I took while waiting at the hospital in Lake Forest. The sun was setting and the colors were so beautiful and vibrant. My recent landscapes have focused on just one color I find in my photo of the sky and I choose this yellow to explore if using a softer yellow would bring the same calm feelings that the blues and soft pinks have.
